While he was at the White House, news broke that Warner Bros. Discovery said Paramount Skydance ‘s $31 a share deal was better than the existing Netflix offer . Next scene: Netflix declined to match the Paramount Skydance deal, meaning it walked away from the whole affair. Paramount has agreed to pay the $2.8 billion breakup fee Warner Bros. would owe Netflix if the deal were left on the cutting room floor. This all really picked up steam last October when Warner Bros. said it was exploring all sorts of options . Since Oct. 21, Warner Bros. stock is up 57%. The stock is down more than 1% after hours. Since Oct. 21, Netflix is down 32%. The stock is up 11% after hours. Since Oct. 21, Paramount Skydance is down 35%. The stock is up 5% after hours.
